Aurora

For the 5th Mayfly edition, twenty-nine emerging artists were united around a fundamental question: What future awaits us in these troubled times? They rise to the challenge of offering us new ways of seeing the world. Aurora offers an inquisitive look at the emerging French and international contemporary art scene. The title refers to the radiant pink light that follows the first break of dawn and heralds the sunrise, a fitting metaphor for emergence and new beginnings. Through a scenographic journey structured around three themes: Ruptures and Continuities, In Search of Meaning and Art as Refuge. The exhibited works explore the aspirations, questions and deeply personal reflections that inspire these artists.
